The new chairman of the State Agency for Refugees, Ivan Ivanov, has asked the Council of Ministers to conduct an inspection of the agency. The audit should establish whether there were any irregularities in the spending of funds, reporter Daniel Inkov informed.

Today, Ivanov visited the Registration and Reception Center "Voenna Rampa" in Sofia, where he inspected the conditions in which migrants live. "You see that the situation is tragic - these are premises in which a human being cannot normally live, especially in Bulgaria, which is a member of the EU. And we are talking about hospitality towards foreigners, about creating the best possible conditions for their adaptation," Ivanov commented. According to him, in the past five years, nearly 306,000 euros have been invested in the center. "I personally did not see where this money was invested but perhaps the competent authorities will tell," the chairman of the agency said.

There are 114 people in the registration and reception center, of which 83 are men and 11 are women. There are four families and 20 children. This is 18% of the center's capacity.
