The Consulate General of Bulgaria in Toronto has sent an invitation via Facebook to Bulgarians in Canada to participate in a solemn rose planting ceremony in the municipality of Niagara Falls. The planting ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. local time on July 11, 2025 (Friday) in a park located at 4310 Queen Street.
"With this event, we will pay tribute to the Bulgarian cultural heritage and express our gratitude to the Mayor of Niagara Falls, Jim Diodati, for his continued support of the Bulgarian diaspora and the Consulate General's annual initiative to illuminate Niagara Falls with the colors of the Bulgarian flag," the Bulgarian diplomatic mission in Toronto wrote, adding: "Let us come together and show Canada why Bulgaria deserves recognition - with culture, beauty and community spirit."
