Bulgarian MPs are discussing a third vote of no confidence in the government of Rosen Zhelyazkov, BTA reports. According to the initiators from Vazrazhdane, the cabinet has failed in its financial policy.

“The cabinet is deepening fiscal imbalances and is not taking the necessary urgent measures to restore the sustainability of public finances. This government’s budget pursues incorrectly set goals, based on false statistical data, overly optimistic macroeconomic forecasts, and unrealistic expectations for tax revenue collection,” the party’s leader, Kostadin Kostadinov, said.

He also pointed out that there was a lack of public support for the government’s intentions to cede a key part of Bulgaria’s sovereignty, destroying the 145-year-old Bulgarian lev.
