An exhibition featuring the work of over 350 artists from 51 countries has opened in the port city of Varna. It is part of the fourth edition of the international triennial ‘The Spirit of Watercolour’ and is on display at the Boris Georgiev City Art Gallery.

This year's exhibition showcases prominent local artists, including Volodya Valchev, Nikolai Izvarin, and Alexander Kaprichev. Once again, the focus is on foreign art schools specialising in watercolour painting, who are regular guests at the Varna Triennial. They come from far-flung places such as Indonesia, India, Mexico, Peru, Spain and Italy. The works, ranging from hyperrealism to abstract and expressive painting, can be seen at the City Gallery in Varna until 30 July.
