The Minister of Culture, Marian Bachev, and the Rector of Sofia University, Prof. Georgi Valchev, have agreed on a solution: a single ticket office and a single ticket will now be required for entry to the Architectural and Park Complex “The Palace” in Balchik, the Ministry of Culture has announced.
To make visits more convenient for tourists — who previously had to buy separate tickets for the Botanical Garden (belonging to Sofia University) and the Palace museum at different locations — tickets for both sites will be sold from one place starting this season. A unified electronic ticket will also be introduced next season.
Minister Bachev and Prof. Valchev are scheduled to visit the complex today to inform employees about the new arrangement.
The Architectural and Park Complex “The Palace,” built by Queen Marie of Romania in the 20th century, is one of Bulgaria’s 100 national tourist sites.
