The Consulate General of Bulgaria in Toronto, Canada, has extended an invitation to our compatriots in the region to a solemn celebration of the 188th anniversary of the birth of the Apostle of Freedom Vasil Levski.

The consulate's Facebook page notes that the homage to Bulgaria's national hero will take place on July 18 at 2:30 p.m. in front of the Vasil Levski Monument in Brampton, St. Demetrius Church, at 1555 Steeles Ave, Brampton.
"We will pay tribute to the work of Vasil Levski with a short commemorative program, speech and presentation of flowers. Your presence will be an honor for us and an expression of gratitude to one of the brightest heroes in Bulgarian history," the consulate announced.
