Bulgaria and Armenia to cooperate in the field of artificial intelligence

An Armenian delegation led by the Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan is on a two-day visit to Bulgaria for the 9th session of the Bulgarian-Armenian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation. 


"In recent years, Bulgaria has gained potential and experience in the IT sector and artificial intelligence. Traditionally, we have such in mechanical engineering and mechatronics. These are areas in which we are ready to exchange experience and seek new opportunities for the development of technologies and joint business projects," said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Innovation and Growth Tomislav Donchev.


A Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of technological innovation and research and development was signed. The aim is to promote bilateral relations in areas such as digital and green transition, emerging technologies, microelectronics, space policies and technologies, exchange of IT specialists, as well as development of the entrepreneurial and start-up ecosystem, etc.
