The government wants Parliament to adopt amendments to the Euro Act by the end of next week. Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov announced this at a meeting of the Coordination Mechanism for Monitoring and Control of the Introduction of the Euro in Bulgaria, which he had convened. 'This bill must be adopted before the parliamentary recess so that the measures and opportunities it provides, which have been discussed with industry organisations and the institutions responsible for the practical introduction of the euro, can be implemented more effectively,' he explained.
