Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil will lead a patriarchal liturgy in the village of Yahinovo, Dupnitsa municipality, this Saturday, BTA has reported. Locals define the upcoming visit of the head of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church to the church "St. Petka" as a historic moment. "Neither a bishop nor a patriarch has come here so far," Tsvetelin Peudov from the village, says.

The visit is planned for July 26, when the Orthodox Church honors the holy martyr Paraskeva of Rome and the holy martyrs Ermolai, Ermil and Ermokrat of Nicomedia. The visit comes against the backdrop of the renewal of the church with donations and voluntary work.
