Match between Ludogorets and Rijeka ends in a draw

The football club of Ludogorets achieved a goalless draw in front of 8,000 spectators as visitors to the Croatian team of Rijeka in the first match of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. The performance of the Bulgarians was criticized by their coach Rui Mota. However, Ludogorets took advantage of the fact that although more active on the field, the hosts also made mistakes.

Ludogorets goalkeeper Hendrik Bonmann had two decisive interventions. In the 16th minute of the game three players of Rijeka were left alone against Bonmann. The goalkeeper went outside the penalty area and cleared the ball from the feet of Niko Jankovic, who fell on the ground. The hosts called for a red card, but the referee, after determining that there was no contact, did not react.

After a 0:0 draw in Croatia, everything will be decided next week in the match in Razgrad.
