Bobby Ivanchev continues his musical path…"Purified"

Bobby Ivanchev, whom Bulgarian music fans also know as part of the duo "Avenue", continues to follow his independent musical path. His new original single "Purified" is different from what we've heard of his music so far - he himself admits that here he reveals a very personal side of himself:

"This song gives me a peace of mind, which is what I look for when I'm resting. When you're left alone, you can't help but realize where you are, what you are, why you are, what you want to do... Do you want to change your situation, your job sometimes even... Some people, when they get burned out, drop everything and go somewhere absolutely alone, in silence, to think about what to do with their lives. However, contact with nature also tells you that it actually cleanses you, it frees you from many things. And we shouldn't leave it aside - because we see what's happening right now with the fires, we're cutting down forests, what not... And nature at some point starts to take revenge on us. And that's why we have to be purified, it has to be purified too."

The music is by Bobby Ivanchev, he wrote the lyrics together with Lubo Kirov, and he worked on the arrangement with Denis Popstoev, who also plays the saxophone solo. The backing vocals of Hristina Neykova give the song an even more characteristic sound. In general, for Bobby, working with good musicians like them is very important:

"I had decided that in this song I want to sing relatively little and let the instruments and voices of others lead people to a state in which they want to get in the car and just travel somewhere."

Bobby Ivanchev's plans include small acoustic concerts before the end of the year, because at the moment he sees himself not as the person who created the songs of the duo "Avenue" together with Zaki, but as a new artist who is now making a name for himself. It is this fresh perspective that gives the unique sound of "Purified".

In the video for "Purified" you won't see the sea - according to Bobby Ivanchev, this is because the video recreates the journey to the sea. And also because sometimes the journey itself is no less important than the final destination.
