Strauss Vienna Orchestra to perform in Bulgaria's Stara Zagora

As part of its tour of Bulgaria, the Strauss Vienna Orchestra will play at the Summer Theater in Stara Zagora tonight. The occasion for the tour is the 200th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss - the king of the waltz and one of the most prominent musical figures of the 19th century.

Inspired by Strauss' musical legacy, the Austrian cultural manager and researcher Peter Hosek founded the Johann Strauss Virtuoso Orchestra, part of the Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra.

The formation has traveled with great success in Europe, Asia, North and South America. Its concerts are distinguished by their stage brilliance, style and emotional charge.

On August 7, the musicians will also have a concert at the Military Academy in Sofia.
