Weather forecast for 13 August

Heatwave continues, yellow code is in force

On Wednesday, minimum temperatures will range from 18 to 23°C, in Sofia – 18°. It will be a sunny and hot day, with a yellow heat warning in place for western and central Bulgaria. There will be a light to moderate easterly wind. Maximum temperatures will reach between 32 to 37°C; in Sofia, it will be around 33°C.


Along the Black Sea coast, it will be sunny and ideal for tourism. There will be a moderate easterly breeze. Maximum air temperatures will range from 27 to 29°C. The sea temperature will be between 26 and 27°C. The sea will reach a Beaufort scale of 2–3.


There will only be insignificant cumulus clouds in the mountains in the afternoon, with no precipitation. At an altitude of 1,200 metres, the maximum temperature will be around 28°C, and at 2,000 metres, it will be around 19°C.


On Thursday, it will remain sunny and dry, with maximum temperatures between 30 and 35°C. There will be a moderate easterly wind.
