Increasing number of companies in Bulgaria want licenses for weapons-related activities

The number of companies requesting licenses for weapons-related activities from the Commission for Export Control and Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction has been rising. This is indicated in the report of the commission to the Minister of Economy for 2024, reporter Dobromir Videv informed. 

In 2024, 24 new companies emerged on this market. The number of licensed and registered companies has grown from 191 at the end of 2014 to 312 at the end of 2024. 210 applications for licenses were received in the commission last year - for export and import of defense-related products, their transportation, registration, etc.
