More than 70 master craftsmen will participate in the traditional craft fair in the village of Oreshak near Troyan, which starts on August 14 and will last until Sunday, BNR correspondent Plamen Hristov has reported. The masters of traditional Bulgarian crafts will set up their tents in the street in front of the National Exhibition of Crafts and Arts in Oreshak, right next to the Troyan Monastery.

The fair, which is the largest in Northern Bulgaria, dates back to the 18th century and is held in the days surrounding the great Christian holiday of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - August 15.

On the day of the Assumption of the Mother of God, the Troyan Monastery will celebrate its temple holiday. After the liturgy on Friday, the miraculous icon of the Holy Mother of God of Three Hands, kept there for centuries, will be carried in a procession from the monastery church to the nearby chapel, where it performed its first miracle in 1600. Believers will be able to touch the icon and pray for health and well-being.
