Petrova Niva marks 122 years since the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising

The 122nd anniversary of the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising will be marked today in the historical area of Petrova Niva in Strandzha. The celebration is being held under the auspices of President Rumen Radev, who will also participate in the event, the presidency announced.

At 8:00 p.m., a prayer will be served in memory of the participants in the uprising in the "St. Petka" ossuary. At 8:30 p.m. the memorial ceremony will begin in front of the memorial in the area. The President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces will greet the formation of the representative companies of the National Guard unit and will deliver a speech. Rumen Radev will pay tribute to those who died in the uprising, it was reported.
