Days after the parasailing accident in Bulgaria's Black Sea resort of Nessebar, in which an eight-year-old child died, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov tasked ministers and agencies with making proposals for new regulatory framework of entertainment and extreme sport activities by the end of the summer season, BNR reporter Dobromir Videv reported.
“An incident like this shows that even for activities that require a higher degree of self-control, a higher degree of responsibility and care from operators offering such attractions, the state must take the necessary actions for initial prevention in terms of safety, risk reduction, and subsequent control,” the Prime Minister commented.

According to Rosen Zhelyazkov, the topic concerns not only air attractions, but also water and land attractions. He emphasized that state intervention is necessary especially in cases of recreational amusement park activities practiced by minors and underage children.
