Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov held a video conference with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. During the meeting, Rosen Zhelyazkov reaffirmed Bulgaria’s unwavering support for Ukraine in the context of the war. He recalled that Bulgaria is among the strongest and most active supporters of Ukraine’s EU integration. "We are ready to assist Kyiv on its European path by sharing valuable experience in the integration process”, said Premier Zhelyazkov.

"Bulgaria supports the decision to open the first negotiation cluster'', Rosen Zhelyazkov emphasized and highlighted the importance of Ukraine’s action plan on national minorities, calling it an indispensable component for the opening of the first negotiation chapter. Premier Zhelyazkov reiterated that peace talks with Russia must be based on the principles of justice, sovereignty and security guarantees.

Bulgaria is also ready to engage in Ukraine’s post-war recovery and reconstruction, said the government’s press center.
