Weather forecast for August 23

Mostly sunny with short-term rain showers in some places

At night, in places in the central and eastern part of the country there will be short-term showers with thunderstorms. By morning the precipitation will stop. Cloudiness will decrease from the west.

On Saturday it will be mostly sunny. Over the eastern and the southern regions cloudiness will be variable, often significant. In the afternoon hours there will be short-term showers and thunderstorm mainly in the mountainous regions of Southern Bulgaria. The wind will be moderate to temporarily strong from the west-northwest. The highest temperatures will be between 26° and 31°C; for Sofia - around 26°C.

At the Black Sea coast there will be variable cloudiness, but no precipitation is expected. Before noon there will be moderate to strong northwesterly wind, which in the second half of the day will be oriented from the north-northeast. The highest temperatures will be between 26° and 29°C. Sea water temperature is 25°-26°C.

In the mountains it will be mostly sunny before noon. The cloudiness will be more significant over the Rhodopes and Strandzha Mountain and short-term rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon hours mainly in the Rhodopes. There will be strong to temporarily stormy wind from the west-northwest. The highest temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be about 18°C; at 2000 meters - about 13C°
