The state-owned natural gas distribution company Bulgargaz proposed that the price of natural gas for September be set at BGN 60.99 (EUR 31.18) per megawatt hour, excluding access fees, transmission, excise duty and VAT, the company said in its submission to the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission. The price applies to end suppliers and to entities licensed for the production and transmission of thermal energy.

The proposed price is 1.77% lower than the price approved by the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission for August — 62.09 BGN (EUR 31.75).

In July, natural gas was sold at 64.55 BGN (EUR 33.00), in June at 64.32 BGN (EUR 32.89), and in May at 64.40 BGN (EUR 32.93), BTA recalls.
