Bulgarian Orthodox community in Madison needs a priest for the Bulgarian Holy Trinity Church

The church board of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church “Holy Trinity” in Madison, Illinois (USA), has announced on its Facebook page that it needs a priest to serve in the church.

“We humbly ask all brothers and sisters in Christ – in the wider Orthodox community in St. Louis, in the USA and in Bulgaria – for prayerful support for our small parish and, if God wills, for our priest!” – reads the appeal of the board of trustees.

Due to a combination of circumstances, our Orthodox community has been left without its two priests and there is no one to conduct Sunday services. However, the laity of the parish gather every Sunday at 10:00 for certain prayer services – reading of the Typika and the Chetnik Matins.

"With God's help, we will pray for humility and repentance, for the good of our church community, and for the Lord, through the intercession of our spiritual patron Saint John of Rila, to grant us a loving priest" wrote the representatives of the Bulgarian Orthodox church community in Madison, Illinois.
