Weather forecast: Sunny spells and rain over the weekend

The night will be clear with a light wind from the East-Southeast.

Saturday will be sunny. In the afternoon cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will increase from the West. In the evening and during the night there will be intense bursts of rain in the Western half of the country, with thunderstorms in some parts. Conditions will be at hand for hail. There will be a moderate wind from the East-Southeast. Maximum temperatures 31-36° C., for Sofia around 33° C.

Over the Black Sea coast there will be sun with a moderate wind from the Southeast. Maximum temperatures 26-29° C., temperature of the sea water 23-25° C., sea state 2-3.

Over the mountains there will be sun but in the afternoon the clouds will increase. By nightfall there will be brief showers and thunderstorms in many parts in the mountains of Western Bulgaria. There will be a moderate wind from the South-Southeast. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. around 28° C., at 2,000 m. – around 20° C.
