The Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria party is demanding that the acting head of the State Agency for National Security Denyo Denev be dismissed immediately, the Security Council with the Council of Ministers convened, and a hearing of Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov in parliament organized.  The reason – the “hybrid Russian attack” against the airplane transporting Ursula von der Leyen to Plovdiv airport on Sunday when the European Commission President paid a visit to Bulgaria, BNR’s Maria Fileva reports.

Atanas Atanasov, co-chairman of the coalition Democratic Bulgaria and leader of Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria which is a member of the coalition has demanded, on Facebook, that the competent authorities and services report on what the causes are of “this breakdown of the security systems and that they plan actions for preventing such risks and attacks on national and internationals security in the future.”

A few days ago it was announced that the government was nominating the deputy chairman of the State Agency for National Security Denyo Denev to be appointed to this position. President Rumen Radev refused to appoint him.
