A drone surfaced today on the North Beach in Burgas, a Bulgarian National Radio team reported. According to senior rescuer Petar Rusev, the machine was spotted in an unguarded area of the beach in the direction of Solnitsei.

The signal for a suspicious object floating in the sea, resembling a drone, was submitted at 9:36 a.m., after which a specialized team of the Navy completed the task of reconnaissance and transporting the unmanned aerial vehicle, the Ministry of Defense informed.

“The object has been identified as an aircraft (drone) that does not contain an explosive substance and does not pose a danger. With the permission of the Chief of Staff of the Navy, the specialized team transported the object to the Burgas Naval Base,” the message says.

On August 12, servicemen neutralized a drone found on a beach in Sozopol, BTA recalls.
