Bulgarian Defence Minister Zapryanov meets Albanian counterpart Vengu in Tirana

Bulgarian Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov met his Albanian counterpart Pirro Vengu in Tirana on Monday in his first official visit to Albania, the Albanian Defence Ministry said.


The two ministers highlighted strong defence and security ties between the countries and stressed the importance of deeper regional cooperation in the face of common challenges in Southeast Europe.


Talks covered strategic infrastructure projects, including Corridor VIII and the port of Porto Romano, described as key hubs for improving NATO force mobility in the region.


Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to contribute jointly to NATO missions and to the KFOR mission in Kosovo, underscoring their determination to strengthen security and stability in Europe.
