On September 20, Valencia (Spain) will host one of the most significant culinary events in the world – the World Paella Day Cup. Bulgaria will have a representative in the competition for the second consecutive year. Kaloyan Kolev will demonstrate his skills in preparing the iconic Spanish rice dish. He is a lecturer at the Culinary Arts Institute at the Varna University of Management and a culinary consultant with many years of experience.

He won the national qualification held on June 22 in Burgas. The event was part of the SOLE festival, dedicated to Spanish culture, music and gastronomy.
Chef Kolev is to present an original recipe that incorporates Bulgarian ingredients combined with the traditions of the Spanish dish. "One of my main goals is to showcase the richness and authenticity of Bulgarian cuisine to the world", says Kaloyan Kolev.
