The two employees of the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration", who demanded bribes from foreign truck drivers transporting equipment for Robbie Williams' mega show, have been fired, brought to criminal liability and detained for 72 hours. They have worked at the agency since 2012.

The scandal erupted the day after the British pop star's concert at the Vasil Levski Stadium, which attracted an audience of 40,000, BGNES reported.

A report to law enforcement agencies was filed by the organizers of the concert and the British Embassy. A bribe was demanded from five of the drivers of a total of 22 trucks with the motive of a malfunction in the tachographs, explained the director of the Sofia Police Directorate Lyubomir Nikolov.

Two of the drivers did not give in to the demands, one gave 300 euros, and two others - 200 leva each.

The employees of the "Automobile Administration" did not know English, so they used Google translate in communication. Since they did not have cash on them, the drivers were forced to withdraw money from a nearby ATM.

During the subsequent search of the cars, office premises and homes of the detained employees of the "Automobile Administration", banknotes worth about 43 thousand euros and over 5 thousand leva were found. Three certificates belonging to foreign citizens working in transport companies and one to a Bulgarian citizen were also found, and according to Nikolov, they were taken as a pledge until the "violators" provide them with the necessary amount.
