The Municipality of Tsarevo declared a state of emergency due to record rainfall. People have been evacuated, Tsarevo Mayor Marin Kirov told BNR. ''In just three hours, 410 liters per square meter of rain were recorded in the village of Izgrev and 235 liters per square meter in Tsarevo. Roads between Lozenets and Tsarevo and Tsarevo and Izgrev are closed'', said Marin Kirov. ''There are no casualties or injured. All people in potentially dangerous areas have been evacuated. Some populated areas in the municipality are experiencing power outages'', the mayor added.

The Tsarevo – Izgrev – Malko Tarnovo road is closed to traffic. The bridge near Nestinarka beach is also closed, as is the road from Tsarevo through Arapya campsite to Lozenets. Flooded streets in Burgas are making traffic difficult due to hours of heavy rain. Flooded streets and fallen trees are also disrupting traffic in Plovdiv. Reports of fallen trees and difficult road conditions have also come in from the districts of Ruse, Razgrad and Varna. Due to snowfall, the Petrohan Pass has been closed for clearing.
