Hapoel Tel Aviv lost to Maccabi Tel Aviv by 90:103 (25:24, 20:21, 25:27, 20:31) at Arena 8888 in Sofia, in a match from the third round of the Euroleague Basketball - men.

This is the first derby between Israel’s two basketball favourites, played at a Euroleague level in another country. This is the first defeat for Hapoel after two wins in a row since the beginning of the season; for Maccabi it is the first Euroleague victory for the year. This season, Hapoel Tel Aviv is playing its home matches from the tournament in Bulgaria – in Sofia and Blagoevgrad – whereas Maccab Tel Aviv’s home games continue to be in Serbia.

Before the start of the match, a minute of silence honoured the second anniversary since Hamas’ attack against Israel on 7 October, 2023.
