Another tough test for the Bulgarian national football team is coming up on October 14 against Spain in a match from the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The match will take place in Valladolid at 9:45 p.m., with the European champion being the absolute favorite for the three points.

We are aware that we will get a lot of slaps in these qualifiers. This is what the coach of the Bulgarian national football team, Alexander Dimitrov, commented before the match with Spain. “We want the players to give the best of their abilities. There were positive things and we are trying to focus on them in order to escape the psychological hole we fell into,” Dimitrov added.

On October 11, Bulgaria lost to Turkey in Sofia by 1:6. This was the third consecutive defeat in the qualifiers and the Bulgarian team is at the bottom of Group “E” with 0 points and a goal difference of 1-12.
