The government of South Africa is introducing a visa-free regime for Bulgarian citizens holding ordinary passports for stays of up to 90 days, the Embassy of Bulgaria in Pretoria announced on its Facebook page.

“We express our gratitude to the competent institution – the Department of Home Affairs, as well as to DIRCO (the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) for the decision taken, which is a confirmation of the traditionally friendly relations and deepening cooperation between our two countries,” the diplomatic mission stated.

The abolition of visas for short-term stays is expected to facilitate tourist and trade exchange between the two countries and contribute to accelerating the dynamics of bilateral relations.
