The 10th edition of the International Festival Da Fest presents works by leading global digital artists. Organised by Da Lab and the National Academy of Art, the five-day event begins today in Sofia.
This year's theme, “Anxiety: Signals from an Uncertain World”, examines the tension between technology and human perception, exploring how algorithms and emotion intersect in contemporary culture. According to the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA), the programme includes 14 exhibitions, five performances and five screening sections, alongside lectures, discussions and workshops spread across 15 venues.
The opening exhibition, 'Mindful Futures – Rethinking Presence in Digital Spaces', hosted by the Hungarian Cultural Institute, sets the tone for the festival. In it, students from Budapest explore communication within the digital sphere and the sense of unease that often accompanies it.
