Bulgarian football champion Ludogorets Razgrad lost 2–3 to Young Boys in an away match from the third round of the Europa League group stage.
Petar Stanić gave Ludogorets the lead in the 26th minute. The hosts equalized in the final minute of the first half with a goal by Rayan Raveloson. The Swiss team completed the comeback through a goal by Christian Fassnacht in the 53rd minute, and later Chris Bedia scored a third goal from the penalty spot after a VAR review.
Ivan Yordanov set the final score at 3–2 with a stunning 20-meter strike in the 92nd minute.
This is Ludogorets’ second loss in the Europa League group stage. The Bulgarian champions remain 26th with only 3 points. Head coach Rui Mota attributed the defeat at Bern’s Wankdorf Stadium to numerous missed chances and refereeing decisions.
