Bulgaria’s National Assembly rejected President Rumen Radev’s veto on the amendments that expand the powers of the special commercial administrator of Lukoil, reported BNR’s correspondent Maria Fileva. The MPs from the ruling majority, supported by “DPS – New Beginning” and the four independent MPs, voted for the re-adoption of the amendments to the Act on the Administrative Regulation of Economic Activities Related to Oil and Petroleum Products. Under the amendments, the special commercial administrator is granted the authority to carry out the operational management of the company and to manage its assets, including selling them. In addition, his actions will not be subject to judicial or administrative oversight.

''This special commercial administrator, once appointed, will do all of this based on some made-up market evaluations, which will again be conducted by companies close to Delyan Peevski. Everything being proposed here is a brutal plunder, and our country will face lawsits”, said MP Yordan Todorov from ''Vazrazhdane''. ''Vazrazhdane'' stated that it will bring the matter to the Constitutional Court, arguing that the amendments violate the right to private property.
