European Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva shocked by attack in Paris

I am deeply shocked by the attack against Charlie Hebdo satirical weekly magazine in Paris, said Vice-President of the European Commission, Bulgarian Kristalina Georgieva. In a statement published in her Twitter account Ms. Georgieva, who is the European Commissioner responsible for budget and human resources, expressed solidarity with the French people and the media. She expressed confidence that "this barbaric act will not in any way become an obstacle to the freedom of the press, which is the foundation of our democracies."
