The birth-rate in Bulgaria continues to dwindle, Sega daily alarms. 1,006 babies less were born in the first trimester of 2015, as compared to the same period last year. The total number of the newly-born for the first quarter amounts to 14,622, data of the Bulgarian Ministry of Healthcare show. The birth-rate even declined in the country’s capital Sofia, where a total of 3,628 babies were born during the period, which was 134 less, as compared to the first three months of 2014.

Traces of genetically modified organisms were found in 8 cases, but the quantities of GMO were within the permitted limits of 0.9%.
