In view of the complicated security environment and the increasing tension within the context of the migration crisis and terrorist acts in the heart of Europe, the modernization of the Bulgarian army and the higher defensive capabilities are of key importance, Bulgaria’s President and Commander in-chief of the Bulgarian Armed Forces Rossen Plevneliev said at a ceremony where army officers were promoted to higher military ranks.
