Losses of businesses have doubled for a year. The negative record is due to the Corporate Commercial Bank bust, tourism, energy and real estate trade, Sega writes quoting a report of the National Revenue Agency that analyses business results and corporate tax figures found in the tax returns submitted by companies. Losses generated by the economy grew from 2.85 billion to 5.75 billion euro. The best performance is seen in the processing industry where profits register the biggest annual growth – from 1.4 billion to 1.65 billion euro.
Lawsuits have doubled in Bulgaria against indebted foreign nationals. Greek businesses find a way to escape bailiffs by transferring their businesses to this country, 24 Hours reports. The union of private bailiffs demands amendments to legislation to speed up debt collection ruled by foreign courts. In this way Bulgarian law will be aligned to European directives.
Brussels finances Bulgarian projects worth 154 million euro, Trud writes. The largest financing will go to the modernization of the Kostenets - Septemvri railroad, while other projects regard the improvement of information systems for river transport and technological upgrading of aviation.

Investments worth from 2 to 2.5 million euro have been made by a Bulgarian distillery for lavender and other crops, writes Capital Daily. It is located in the industrial area of the Northeastern town of Dobrich and is owned by Essetere Bulgaria, a subsidiary of the US-based cosmetics company doTerra. Bulgaria is a world leader in lavender production after it outstripped France in 2014. The new distillery is unique in the country with its laboratory and research center.
