Bulgaria’s educational system will receive an extra EUR 112 million in 2017, Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov announced after the meeting with labor union leaders and Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov. In Premier Borissov’s words, the cabinet can afford that expenditure, because the state budget collected EUR 800 million more than forecasted due to the good job done by the revenue agencies, the Ministry of Interior, the State Agency for National Security and the Prosecutor’s office. We made calculations with Finance Minister Goranov and decided that since education is our top priority we can spend additional money on that field, Premier Borissov further said.
