Bulgaria’s retail trade increases with 5.4% year on year in August

In August 2016 Bulgaria’s retail trade turnover increased with 5.4% as compared to the same month last year and with 0.9% as compared to the previous month, data of the National Statistical Institute show. Highest increase was marked in online sales-11%, followed by sales of medicines and medical goods-10%. The sales of clothing and shoes rose by 9.2% year on year. Sales of food, beverages and tobacco products increased with 8.7% year on year, NSI further informs.
