Canadian visas for Bulgarians and Romanians abolished as of end-2017

Bulgaria and Romania are withdrawing their objections to the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) after Ottawa provided written assurances that visas for their citizens would be abolished by the end of 2017, Bulgarian PM Boyko Borissov announced in Brussels, where he is taking part in a European Council meeting.
“Bulgaria and Canada are in possession of amazing geographic, historical and natural wonders. That is very good for tourism as well as for business and for all citizens of the world,” the Bulgarian prime minister added, commenting on the lifting of Canadian visas for Bulgarian citizens.
