Bank deposits in NGO sector account for three quarters of GDP

At the end of October 2016 bank deposits in the NGO sector reached a total of 34.12 billion euro (66.646 Leva) or 74.9 percent of the GDP, which means an 8.3 percent year-on-year growth, the Bulgarian National Bank says. At the same time credits in the NGO sector amounted to 26.03 billion euro (50.843 Leva) or 57.2 percent of the GDP, meaning a mere 1.1 percent growth.
