Situation in Hitrino under control

The situation in the village of Hitrino, where on Saturday at least seven people died and dozens were wounded in an explosion of a cargo train carrying cisterns with propane gas, has been put under control. More than half of the population of Hitrino has been evacuated and the cisterns were pulled away from the village at a safe place. There isn't any immediate danger of other explosions or air pollution. Premier Borissov triggered the National Emergency Plan. A crisis headquarters headed by Premier Borissov is holding a sitting in Hitrino. Some ministers are also part of the crisis headquarters. President-elect Rumen Radev also attends the meeting of the crisis headquarters. A day of national mouring will be declared on Monday, December 12.
