Bulgaria’s second-best female tennis player Elitsa Kostova dropped out of the Brisbane International tennis tournament with a prize fund of USD 1 million. Kostova lost 1:6; 5:7 to Kateryna Bondarenko (Ukraine) in the second qualifying round. The twenty six year old Bulgarian earned USD 1862 and 13 points for the WTA ranking. Currently, Kostova occupies the 136th position in the world ranking. On Friday Kostova started the tournament with a victory against another Bulgarian-Viktoria Tomova.
