Bulgaria remained  a place short from grabbing the bronze medals I in the mixed relay event at the  European Biathlon Championship in Poland. 
The Bulgarian team composed of Emilia Yordanova Desislava Stoyanova, Dimitar Gerdjikov and Vladimir Iliev showed excellent performance but did not manage to grab the medals. The Bulgarian competitors used a total of 11 additional rounds. The event put an end to the championship in Duszniki-Zdroj. The team of Russia became winner, followed by Norway, and Ukraine.
