18 parties and 9 coalitions registered officially at the Central Election Commission for the forthcoming early Parliamentary elections due on March 26 this year. The registration deadline was February 8. The Central Election Commission announced that none of the parties and coalitions declared wrong data or filed document with wrong content. A total of 25 political formations, including 18 parties and 7 coalitions took part at the last Parliamentary elections in 2014. According to the latest sociological surveys, the electoral support towards the Bulgarian Socialist Party and GERB has almost reached parity. The forthcoming elections are due to the resignation of Boyko Borissov’s cabinet in mid-November 2016.
