139 years ago today Bulgaria revived. The country’s resurrection was preceded by a series of events, but memory is what links all of them, Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said in his speech on occasion of the Day of National Liberation. We should not view past as a burden. The past is an asset, because we learnt our lessons from each defeat and were inspired by each triumph. It is our duty to remember our history, because history does not tolerate oblivion. According to a historian, a person without memory is one without future. We are standing in front of the Monument to Tsar Liberator. Once, General Skobelev said that the Russian people were not afraid to sacrifice their lives in the name of faith and brotherhood, Bulgaria’s head of state pointed out.  May we bow to all soldiers who died for the freedom of our country, President Radev further said.
