The sea water is cleaner this year than it was last year, next year it will be even cleaner, said Bulgarian Environment Minister Neno Dimov.

Minister Dimov added that the quality of seawater in the Black Sea is improving as new wastewater treatment plants open and old ones are extended. Regarding the controversies surrounding the construction of new tourist facilities in the mountains, Minister Dimov insisted that skiing tourism in Pirin, Rila and Vitosha can develop without inflicting damage on nature, but that this will take place in dialogue with environmental organizations.
