Some 2.5 billion euros have been paid paid to European politicians and diplomats to divert attention and criticism from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. This is what an investigation by leading European media has shown, the Bulgarian National Radio reported.

In the list of names one can also find that of Kalin Mitrev, who is now Bulgaria's representative on the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and husband of UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova.
