Two Bulgarian tennis players at Las Vegas semifinals

Bulgarians Sesil Karatantcheva and Elitsa Kostova have made it to the semifinals of the hard court tennis tournament in Las Vegas, USA, with a prize fund worth 60,000 USD.

Seventh seeded Karatantcheva won a landslide victory 6:0, 6:1 over first seeded Louisa Chirico of USA, in a match a little over an hour long. On her way vying for the final she now faces Renata Zarazua of Mexico.

Eighth seeded Kostova eliminated in a dramatic match American Maria Mateas4:6, 6:2, 7:6(5) after three and a half hours on the court. Kostova’s next rival is fourth seeded Karolina Schmiedlova of Slovakia.
